How to Clean Aerofelt Saddle Pads
A quality saddle pad ensures a comfortable ride for both horse and rider. Over time, however, saddle pads can become covered in dirt and built-up sweat that can cause rubs or sores. A clean saddle pad keeps the back of your horse relaxed and comfortable, and also helps keep the saddle in its correct position. You can easily clean your felt saddle pad with a hose and soap. Start by spraying the pad at an angle so you're not directly washing it. Then, gently work a mild soap like Woolite (Ph7 - neutral) into the pad with your rubber curry comb. Rinse thoroughly with the hose, then allow to air dry. Once dry, apply leather conditioner to the pad's leather areas.
