Protect Your Horse With a 0g Turnout Rug
Turnout rugs are a great way to protect your horse from the elements. They are usually made from waterproof synthetic material, breathable to allow moisture to escape, with different neck options available including Combo Necks and Detachable Necks. They can be used by themselves or in conjunction with a stable rug for an extra layer of protection. When Should I Use a 0g Turnout Rug?
A 0g turnout rug is designed to keep your horse dry when the weather is damp, but does not provide warmth. It is a good choice for mild spring or autumn days, or for when it’s wet and breezy but not cold enough to need a filled rug. During summer, it’s also useful for the occasional downpour and to help your horse regulate their natural body temperature. Pairing your 0g turnout rug with a neck cover will also help to prevent the rain and wind from catching clipped horses around the chest or withers.
The all-weather waterproof classic features a 600D ripstop polyester outer with a breathable waterproof coating, it has a smooth anti-bacterial 210T polyester lining which helps to keep your horse comfortable. It is machine washable on a cold cycle, and we recommend reproofing after washing to maintain its waterproof properties.
It comes with red cross surcingle’s and twin buckle chest fastenings, with fillet string to help secure the tail flap. The shoulder gussets offer freedom of movement and the rug is finished with printed HyCONIC branding.
